ARTIST STATEMENT
My work is a commentary on our digital and synthetic reality. I use water color as a metaphor for the paradigm shift we humans must embrace. Options to "delete" or "undo" pervade our digital lives. We urgently need to take responsibility for every decision we make to save our natural world. I plan each brush stroke, color and shape with nuanced care. and the white parts of the works has never been touched with a paint brush. Water color affords no "deletions" or "undos", nor do our environmental actions.
It is intended to make people feel humbled and in awe of the breathtaking magnificence of nature, both in natures small details and its greatness. I work with compotition, light and darkness. with this I try to inspire in the viewer a sense of love and respect for the natural world.
All my works is one of a kind and they will never be massproduced or prints made of them.
